C’mon Nibs! Keep up! Okay, so Peter was a big fat cheater when it came to racing, but it wasn’t his fault Tink didn’t share her dust with everybody. Pete stopped for a moment, sitting in a tree and rubbing his hands together as Nibs approached. As his hands rubbed, pixie dust accumulated and Pete tossed it down as his friend ran by. They’ll never find us now, he said with a laugh, a devious smirk forming on his face. He wore the smirk often. A moment later, however, he saw Curly coming for them in the distance. Nibs, Peter said before shrugging and deciding to skip the dialogue and just grab him. He reached for Nibs’s shoulder and shoved him higher into the tree, placing his dirty hand over the kid’s mouth just to be cautious. Moments later, Curly ran by them shouting their names, though he didn’t see the two hiding in the tree. Peter removed his hand and released Nibs. Hah! I win! And you win… a little bit. So you get to help me get back at Hook. He flew to the top of all the trees, Hook’s pirate ship in sight from where they were. Really thought we had ‘im the last time, but we can take him again. He’s just an old man.

Nibs ran as fast as he could behind Peter (which meant nothing because a certain green hat wearing lost boy leader was a dirty CHEATER!) "Well maybe if I had pixie dust too!" It wasn't his fault he didn't have invisible wings, and really, for no good reason! Tink could trust him.. he was a very trustable person! He saw Peter disappear into the tree and hurried to catch up. No way was he going to get found first! No way! He looked up into the tree, trying to find a branch he could jump on (yanno, because he couldn't fly like some people) but as if he could read Nibs's mind, Pete dropped some pixie dust and up he went, grabbing on to a branch just below him and grinning back. They'll never find us now. "Never!" he agreed, leaning against the trunk and making himself comfortable to wait out the end of their game. Of course, right after he did that, Pete grabbed him and hoisted him up, clamping a hand over his mouth. He looked down just in time to see Curly running around, calling their names. He bit back a laugh at the sight. He'd be hearing about that later, he would. But right now nothing was going to compromise their game. Which he won, just as much as Peter did! As much as he would have argued that, the next thing he said was too hard to ignore. They were going after Hook! "Of course I do! Who else would you take along?" He acted all affronted. "Hook's scared'a me anyway, after last time- but it's fine, beating him's fun! We'll show him not to mess with Neverland!"

Just to throw it out there, Peter would be faster than all of the lost boys without pixie dust, but that’s just between us. That’s what Peter thought, anyway. Nibs was a fast kid, though. Even while Peter was flying, Nibs could usually keep up pretty well. The other guys were always tripping over vines and stuff—which Peter didn’t really get because while you’re racing someone you should try to avoid tripping because that slows you down but that was just his own personal opinion. Anyway, if anyone was worthy of being on Peter’s team, it was Nibs. Of course I do! Who else would you take alone? Peter laughed and flew back to the forest floor, using his foot to deface the footprint Curly had left behind in the dirt. Someone real clever, of course! And brave… and strong… He smirked and shrugged. I guess you’re the closest thing I could find. Nibs would come in handy—he was right about Hook being scared of him. Hook didn’t like anyone who could stand up to him… especially if they were a bunch of rotten kids. Beating him’s fun! We’ll show him not to mess with Neverland! Peter scoffed, ripping a small branch from a tree and wielding it like a sword. We’ll chase ‘im right outta Neverland! No matter how much the Lost Boys messed with Hook, he always managed to come back. They wanted him out for good, and the best way to do that was to antagonize him until he couldn’t take it anymore. I think we should steal his captain coat—it’d look better on me anyway. He flew a little ways toward where Curly had run, looking to make sure he wasn’t coming back. All clear, Nibs!

Just to throw it out there, nobody would know that because Peter's never done it. Nibs was going to think that Peter was slower than Curly until he actually saw him run without flying. Yup. That's what he was going to think. Peter needed to fly, but Nibs was extremely agile... And clever.. And awesome! That is why Peter needed him to help take down Hook. (Well, that, and that other whole list of adjectives that Peter very helpfully suppplied.) 'We’ll chase ‘im right outta Neverland!' And hopefully off a cliff with pointy rocks at the bottom! Here here?.. Or no. No, right, this is a kids story. Okay. Nibs thought it was a good idea. 'I think we should steal his captain coat—it’d look better on me anyway. "Much better!" he agreed with a nod. As an after thought he called out "I get the hat though!" Because sharing wasn't an obvious thing for them. At Peter's all clear he jumped down from the tree and caught up with him. "O-kay, here's the plan! You plant your feet on the ground, and we'll sneak on to the ship and see how much stuff we can take. They're pirates, so they should know how it works already. Oh, and if the bird catches you you lose!" Yes, that was what nibs considered a perfectly well thought out fool proof plan. "ReadySetGo!"

First of all, nobody was slower than Curly. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way.. Nibs would get his proof. Eventually. Why would Peter run like a normal boring person when he could fly? That just didn’t make any sense. "Deal! I get the coat, you get the hat. The boys’ll be real jealous. Their fault for losing the game!" Nibs came up with a perfect plan. Well… it was almost perfect. There was one part lacking in perfection. You plant your feet on the ground, "Gee, you don’t mean that part, do ya?" He grinned and thought about it. Maybe it’d even be better not to fly.. just to catch them off-guard. "Fine… but when we get there, if I need to fly, I will." It wasn’t like he had much choice in the matter. If he was fighting with a pirate he’d end up in the air as an instinctive defense mechanism (not that he needed to defend himself… those pirates couldn’t use a sword to save their lives). "Great, sneak up, don’t let the bird catch us. Got it." They’d done it before--- they knew the game plan. ReadySetGo! Peter jumped off the ground and into the air, realized he’d said he wouldn’t cheat, and flew back down. He wasn’t as fast as Nibs on foot, but he was fast enough to keep up pretty well. They got out of the forest pretty soon and on shore, but they’d need to swim the rest of the way and they’d need to do it quickly before someone on the ship noticed or heard them. Peter smirked again as he came to a conclusion. "Flying will be faster."

Nibs did come up with a perfect plan. It was a perfect plan, through and through, all parts considered, especially a certain one. "Gee, you don’t mean that part, do ya?" "I most certainly do!" Peter agreed but he said they he'd fly if he 'needed to' which was really a bunch of rubbish because Peter would say he needed to fly whne he really didn't need to fly because he's like Fred. No further explanation needed. (Unless you're not Tilly in which case stop being a nosy thread stalker!) "If you do you don't win. And you'll hafta give me the coat. And something else.. but I haven't thought of that part yet." It didn't matter, he'd come up with it eventually. He didn't even really want the coat, but he thought it would be a good incentive to keep Peter on the ground. (And then if he didn't Nibs could just make the other thing something huge and amazing and Peter couldn't say no.) And then they were off! Alright, so maybe Peter wasn't slower than Curly, but he wasn't faster than Nibs either, which was extremely satisfying to discover. "I won!" he declared pridefully when they reached the shore. Now all they had to do was swim to the pirate ship and they could start with a real fun. "Are you coming or what?" he asked Peter, since he was just standing there. 'Flying will be faster.' "Oh no you don't! He shook his head. There was no way- absolutely no way.. he looked at the water again and huffed. "Oh fine. But only if I can fly too!"
