JANE PORTER
Alias: Eliza
Other Characters?:Miguel
Movie: Tarzan
Group: Hero
Here I Go: Jane stumbled about on the jungle floor. Oh, she would never get used to these conditions! She tripped and stumbled over the roots and vines that were littered across the forest floor. The fact that she and her father, Dr. Porter, were living in the jungle with Tarzan and the gorillas did not change Jane’s upbringing. She was so used to things in England like cobbled streets and policemen directing traffic.
“Now, Jane, you can do this,” said Jane collecting her skirt up and taking a step forward,”Just take it one step at a time.”
Jane and Dr. Porter were slowly but surely becoming accustomed to living in the jungle with Tarzan and the gorillas, but they were still progressing their research, for their own entertainment if nothing else. Thankfully, she had learned to not wear her yellow dress when traipsing around the jungle. Really, she didn’t know what she had been thinking. She was wearing an outfit with much less layers: a white tank top and her maroon skirt, with her hair piled up on her head.
“Oh! Oh, Daddy, Daddy, hurry up!” she said, putting her hand to her mouth and turning around to face behind her. Dr. Porter was quite a ways behind her, so she pulled out her sketchbook and began sketching the animal that had appeared in front of her.
“What, what, what? What’s this?” asked Dr. Porter, finally catching up to Jane.
Jane merely put a finger to her lips and pointed to the brightly colored bird that had appeared on a branch not that much higher than their heads. However, she was surprised to find that it had disappeared. “Oh, d-what?” she said, her disappointment quickly changing to shock as she felt a weight on her head.
“Jane, dear, stay still,” said Dr. Porter, putting a hand up. However, this movement startled the bird and it began pecking at Jane’s head.
“Oh! Daddy, Daddy! Get it off! Get it off!” she said, as she started to run wildly in a circle, flapping her hands at the bird, trying to get it off of her head.
