It was a very exciting day! Rapunzel had been planning this for almost a week now, and had already told her parents not to expect her for breakfast or lunch. She and Eugene were going to the market! It was pretty much the first time they'd actually gone to the market casually since everything had happened. It was going to be so much fun! First they'd walk around and look at the little outdoor stores and then maybe they'd go indoors and browse in some shops. They'd have breakfast and lunch out in the market area and probably wouldn't return to the castle until later that afternoon so that they could have dinner with her parents in the evening.
It was seven o'clock in the morning and Rapunzel was already wide awake. She was used to being up at this time every morning anyway, so it really wasn't a problem for her. Eugene on the other hand... he might not be as used to it. Rapunzel skipped through the castle to the room that Eugene had been staying in and opened the door up wide, bursting in with boundless energy. "Euuuu-geeeeeeene!~" she chirped, running over and jumping onto his bed, staring at him anxiously and waiting for his eyes to open. She was so excited, they needed to go right away! ooc: apologies for the short starter post but i think it gets the point across ;]

Eugene was riding a unnamed white horse through the forest (not Maximus…definitely not Maximus) and the horse was picking up speed the further they got into the forest. “Whoa! Whoa, uh…boy,” he said, pulling on the reigns, trying to get the horse to slow down, but it only seemed to agitate the thing. Great…juuuuuuust great.
Suddenly, the unnamed horse came to an immediate halt, which caused Eugene to go flying off of the horse and flying straight into a tree. He bounced off the tree and collapsed onto the ground. “Ow, my nose!” he said as grasped his nose, afraid that it was bleeding when-
A weight fell on Eugene and he was jolted awake. His eyes popped open and he saw two bright green eyes staring back at him, which calmed him a little bit. However, he was still rather upset that he was awoken so early in the morning. Eugene sat up in his bed and glanced between the clock on the bedside table and Rapunzel, revolted at the early morning hour.
“Blondie!” said Eugene, calling her his pet name when he was a bit cross with her. He reached up and grabbed a hold of her shoulders, forcing her to sit still. “It is 7:00. People should be sleeping at 7;00!” he said, looking at her sleepily, but he knew that would not be enough to get her to go back to bed.

Just as she'd suspected... Eugene didn't like waking up early like she did. But when there was so much to be done in a day, how could you not want to get up as early as possible? Rapunzel always aimed to get up at around seven o'clock every morning. Sure it was more of a habit now than anything else but when she got all washed up and dressed and ready in the morning, it just felt so good! It was a really great way to wake up and start the day.
Eugene didn't seem to agree so much. Maybe he'd forgotten they were going to the market today! Surely that would make him way more awake and excited if she reminded him. Though it was a bit odd that he even forgot, if he had. Rapunzel couldn't have forgotten today if she tried! She was just so excited!
"But Eugene...." she started, noticing his using her pet name as a way to show his slight irritation at her. She emphasized the first part of his name as she always did when she was slightly exasperated with him. "We're going to the market today, remember? And it's morning. Come on, let's go!" she begged, trying to wriggle out of his grasp on her shoulders by taking his hands and attempting to pull him out of the bed. He was really heavy! She knew that all too well from all the times she'd tried to move him.

Normally Eugene absolutely adored Rapunzel’s excitable nature, but…not this morning. No, it was far too early to be excited! Mornings were definitely for sleeping, in Eugene’s mind. Unless you were on the run from the palace guards, of course. He rolled his eyes when she said his name in that way that she always did when she was a little bit exasperated with him. No, no. That wasn’t fair. If anyone was allowed to be exasperated, it was him.
He couldn’t help but smile a little bit when Rapunzel took his hands and tried to pull him out of bed. A dainty girl like her, trying to pull out a big, masculine man like him? Yeah, right. “Ohhh, right, I forgot about that,” said Eugene, glancing at Rapunzel almost guiltily. She had been so excited about the little trip to the market and he felt bad for making her wait, but…why did it have to be so early?
As she continued to try to pull him out of bed, he smirked and flung all of his weight against her and acting as just a dead weight. “Ugh, c’mon, Blondie, twenty more minutes!” he said, feigning a childish temper tantrum. He knew that she would probably see right through his charade, but he just loved giving her a hard time so much. It was too easy.
Without another thought, he pulled her into the bed with him and began tickling her furiously.

Forgot? How could he just... forget? Especially about something so important. This would be the first time, pretty much, that he could go freely around the market without having to dodge/hide from/otherwise avoid the palace guards! Though Rapunzel had to admit that that part of their trip had been fun in its own way, or at least had incorporated some excitement into an already exciting day!
She let her lower lip stick out just a bit for a few seconds, her big green eyes pleading at him just as he began pleading with her about all that 'twenty more minutes' nonsense. He didn't need twenty more minutes! He wouldn't hesitate to get up and start running right now if he was being chased by the palace guards or something! That gave her an idea. Perhaps she should chase him, or something, and make him get up.
Rapunzel was about to threaten Eugene with a frying pan or something when all of a sudden she felt herself being moved and all of a sudden, tickled. A small shriek escaped the tiny brunette as she laughed and swatted at Eugene. "EUGEEEENE!" she squeaked, now being one of those times where she missed her magic hair, as she could have easily used it to her advantage and tied him up or something. And then there was Pascal... now where was he when she needed him?
