So apparently the sea was calling Miguel back to it time and time again. What with the whole voyage to El Dorado and that lovely little escapade down to the underwater country. He far from minded all of this obviously, as he absolutely loved the prospect of some sort of adventure. The only downside was that He had gotten separated while they were being chased by some townspeople that they may have been attempting to scam.
Miguel had ended up hiding on one of the many ships in the harbor and before he was able to get back on land, the ship had taken off for the sea. He wasn’t too worried, though. Surely he would find his way back to Spain eventually. It always ended up that way anyway.
By the time the ship had finally docked at a port, Miguel had been on the ship for what felt like several weeks. Food was first on his list, or at least money with which to buy some food. After hopping off the ship (sneaking right past the shipmen), he took a look around and quickly found that there was close to nothing that he recognized. A strange country, once again! Ah, well. A new experience was always good, right?
He peeked his head down a nearby alley that was right by the docks and to his delight, he found what appeared to be some sort of gambling session. Perfect! He snuck in and took a peek at the game and found that he was unfamiliar with the game they were playing.
“Excuse me, gentleman,” he said, squeezing in between two rather large looking individuals,”I wonder if I might indulge you in a Spanish game of dice.” He held out his own loaded dice and after some persuasion, the men agreed to try Miguel’s foreign game.
However, after several games of Miguel winning, one of the men caught on to what was going on. He grabbed Miguel by the collar of his shirt and pulled him up close to his face. “There’s no way someone could win that many times! You must be some kind of cheat!”
Miguel laughed and lightly shoved the man away. “My good sir! You must joking. Me? Cheating? Surely you jest!” Oh, this was always so much easier when Tulio was around! The man in question did not fall for Miguel’s trick and he pulled him closer again, preparing to punch Miguel.

"C'mon Abu!" Aladdin called, hurrying through the marketplace. If they'd thought it was hard to stay under the radar before, now the pair of them almost commanded attention. Sure, they'd earned some respect, and uh, were slightly less likely to get thrown in the dungeons, but most people just wanted to stay far away from the troublemakers as possible.
"'Scuse me, pardon me." He weaved through a few stands with a forced grin, watching Abu skillfully jump atop them from the corner of his eyes. He made a point to bump into one of the vendors and when his attention was on Aladdin, Abu swiped an apple. "Sorry sir." he tipped his hat. One more. Time to make their leave.
The man didn't even notice Abu jump down and run into a nearby alleyway. Aladdin followed closely behind the smug monkey. "Good work," he grinned. With everything that had been going on the two were a little lax on their responsibilities lately. Biting into his apple he walked further through the empty street, stopping short when he heard noises around the corner.
"Shh," he turned back to Abu before peeking around. He didn't have any reason to be wary of the usual crowd but there was a man with them who surely wasn't local and he wanted to figure out what was going on. Didn't take more than a few seconds of course. As soon as the man was grabbed Aladdin bent down. Abu was already one step ahead of him with a rock. He waited a second before tossing it at the back of the angry man's head, effectively distracting him from the urge to punch the clever but odd looking fellow in the face. The bigger man released his grip and turned around to seek out the offender.
Aladdin gave a laugh. "Don't mind them; sore losers. We're a lot more hospitable." he told the blond. By now the gambling group was looking a little testy, almost all of them on their feet. One made a move towards him, and another Miguel. He motioned down the alley. "Follow me!" And so started the running.
Of course, this wasn't new. The market place had been easy, but he and Abu just couldn't go a day without trouble. He looked back to make sure he was being followed as Abu jumped up on his shoulder with his hat in his hand. He took out a few coins. "All of it." Aladdin said seriously. He added some more..
"You're winnings." he explained, holding them up for the other man to see. He twirled one between his fingers. "Not too bad." Abu pointed behind them and Aladdin picked up the pace. "This way!" he turned quickly between two buildings. "You have a name?"

Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to overpower the man who was gripping his shirt, he merely closed his eyes and prepared himself to get punched in the face when suddenly the man released his grip. Miguel fell back to his feet and used the wall of the alley to steady himself. He glanced at the younger man that had come to his rescue, but he didn’t need to be told twice.
“Well, then. So sorry gentlemen, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to call our little game to an end at this time. Thank you for your time,” he said before turning tail and running after the young man that had thrown the rock.
Miguel was no stranger to this sort of situation. The only difference was that usually Tulio was there to get the both of them out of trouble with his brilliant plans. Ever since Miguel had gotten separated from his friend, he had gotten into a world of trouble with an underwater country of merpeople and now these people in this strange land.
His face brightened a bit when he saw that the young man that had helped him out had also saved the money that he had won. “Oh! Well, isn’t that excellent?” he said, happily taking the money from the man.
He followed Aladdin and leapt into the small space between the two buildings. “Indeed, I do! I’m Miguel and much thanks, by the way,” he said, with a slight salute,”And who may I ask am I thanking?” He glanced at the opening of the space and was relieved to find that the angry gamblers had not found them just yet.
"Oh! And uh," he said, thinking of another question,"What is this place exactly?"

It was kind of funny that the group of men thought they'd be able to keep up with them. Aladdin knew these streets like someone would know the inside of their home. That was inside out, upside down, and of course, with a few tricks up his sleeve. He pressed up against the wall of one of the buildings once Miguel was inside and caught his breath, grinning.
"Pleasure to meet you Miguel." he nodded. Abu jumped down to go peek for the men and shot them the thumbs up. "This way." he motioned with a roll of his head, keeping his voice down as he started walking. "Aladdin. No thanks necessary."
He thought it was kind of.. strange, that the man didn't know where he was. They hadn't gone that far, but then again, HE certainly looked as thought he had. Aladdin was pretty sure travelling required a conscious decision- of course, then some magic got involved and well, he wasn't really one to talk. "This lovely place?" he laughed. "This is Agrabah. Not exactly the nicest parts you've happened upon... Well, its all a matter of taste."
"If you don't mind me asking, where you from?" Aladdin had seen his share of royals and merchants and the like from nearby countries (this guy looked nothing like them) but.. well, geography wasn't a big need to know and so he was pretty sure he'd have no clue where it was anyway. "And this one might help you out a bit more. Where're you going?"

Miguel followed Aladdin’s lead and pressed himself up against the wall to be less noticeable. He was truly grateful that he had come across this young lad, who obviously knew his way around this strange land. Why if Aladdin hadn’t come along…well, he wouldn’t worry about that. “Oh, right, then!” he said, following Aladdin down the walkway.
“Agrabah, hmm?” he asked, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. Agrabah? That certainly wasn’t a place that he was very familiar with… Of course, Miguel had never really been outside of Spain, aside from that lovely adventure in El Dorado. Oh, how he missed that place! It just seemed so…perfect. What with the high priest out of the way, there was really not a worry to be had. He truly wished he could have stayed behind, but after all, he and Tulio were partners.
“Oh, I come from Spain…in Europe,” he added, not sure if the younger man knew where Spain was. He glanced at Aladdin with raised eyebrows, not sure if he would know where Spain was… After all, Miguel had no idea where this ‘Agrabah’ was located. Taking a look around, it was obvious that the culture was completely different than that of Spain’s… Just how far away had the merchant ship taken him?
Miguel laughed and brushed his hair out of his eyes as he pondered how to answer Aladdin’s question. “Actually, that’s rather funny that you ask that because…well…I’ve no idea,” he said shrugging his shoulders. “You know how it is…you trick somebody, they chase you…you hide on a ship, then you find yourself in a strange land!” he said, laughing.

Miguel didn't exactly seem familiar with Agrabah, but well, Aladdin had never heard of Spain before either. Even Europe, he'd heard of it sure, but a strange word he'd heard a few times was about as much as it was to him. "I'm guessing that's pretty far?"
Mostly, he was trying to keep up a conversation. The way some people were so within themselves was silly. But he really was interested, besides. Travelers were generally generally too upper-class or too busy to bother with someone like him. Those that weren't were usually making up tales and there was only so long people would buy into them. Well, people who knew anything, anyway. Of course, he learned rather quickly why Miguel was different.
"Cant say I've had the experience," he gave a laugh, eyeing Abu to see the monkey's reaction to simply stowing away on a ship and hoping for the best. "Never with a ship, anyway" Aladdin had hid in all sorts of questionable places, but he'd gone far past thinking about the harbor. Even when it seemed like there was nothing for him here, Agrabah was his home. It didn't mean the idea of travelling -the idea that there was something else out there that he'd never really thought of, to be honest- wasn't alluring. "Sounds like a real adventure though!"
He stopped where the buildings ended and the street started up again, waiting to make sure it was empty. "So what are you gonna do now then? Go back? Stay here?" Miguel was making a lot more sense now, but he still couldn't help but wonder what the man planned on doing next. Getting back to.. Spain, couldn't be easy, and well, he certainly wasn't getting off the the right foot with the locals here. That kind fo stuff mattered. Especially if he planned on living off less legal tactics.

Miguel raised his eyebrows at Aladdin’s question. “Excellent question. Ah…where exactly is Agrabah, if you’ll enlighten me?” he asked, tilting his head to the side and grinning. Geography never was Miguel’s strongpoint. He was more of a ‘let’s wait and see what happens’ guy than a ‘learn geography and plan out where he was going’ type of guy. That was definitely Tulio’s thing..wherever he was now.
“It was thrilling, I must say,” he said, with a grin and a shrug,”And…this actually wasn’t the first time something like this has happened.” Miguel laughed and shrugged his shoulders. He cast a glance around the place and he paused when his eyes fell on the small monkey, crawling around Aladdin’s feet. “And who is this little fellow?” he asked, squatting down.
Miguel bit his lip and laughed at Aladdin’s next question. “Er…well, it’s difficult to say,” he said, tapping his hands together and leaning against the wall. He contemplated just lurking around the docks until he heard of a ship that might be headed back to Spain, but…what was the rush? “I’m not sure if I want to be going back so soon anyway,” he said with a shrug,”I might want to explore a bit around here before I go. Care to show me around then?”
He grinned and glanced back to Aladdin, but he froze and his eyes widened as he saw that in the opening of the little alleyway were several large and very official looking men. Possibly…palace guards? “Erm…Aladdin,” he said, pointing in the direction of the men.
