Finally, finally, finally. Granted, Tink had warmed up to her in the end. She wasn't that bad of a girl. But just because she'd slightly warmed up to her did not mean that she liked her enough to keep her around. So for once, she was very obliging when using her pixie dust for Wendy's sake. This time, it was to take her home, for good.
Tink's jealousy faded once she knew this, and ever since she and Peter and the Lost Boys had returned to Neverland, she hadn't been happier. Couldn't be happier. She found herself always smiling once more, and even better, on the pirate ship, she'd acquired a new mirror, an even bigger one! Peter had set it up for her outside her little room so she could fly by and admire herself whenever she wanted. It didn't make her look fat like Wendy's mirror had (she hadn't stood on a mirror since, only looked into one from a distance).
Something strange had happened a bit ago, something she or any of the others had anticipated- the return of Captain Hook! She thought he'd been gone for good when the crocodile had clearly eaten him, but all of a sudden he was back in Neverland! Of course it did make things much more interesting with someone to go fight every once in a while over a treasure or something, and everyone needed a good adventure. Still, there was something strange about the whole ordeal... Tink didn't like the sound of it at all. But she wasn't too worried- at least they had Hook to amuse them and cause them to have more fun adventures now! And as long as she was with Peter, she didn't care what happened.

Comon, Tink! That codfish might be back, but not for long! We'll show 'im. That cocky old man was gonna get it. Who did he think he was, comin' back in and messing with everything? Not that Peter Pan had anything to worry about. He had happy thoughts, and he had Tink. Peter flew around, bouncing off of trees as if he were doing something no more complicated than walking. Without Tinkerbell, he’d be some normal, boring kid walking around Neverland, and that was on the off-chance that Hook hadn’t gotten him by then. Flying was usually his greatest advantage over the man, even though he had a lot going for him, including his charm and wit. Well, that’s what he thought, anyway.
It was good to have things back to normal. It was just Peter and Tink this time. The Lost Boys were..well.. nobody ever really knew what they were up to. Tink could be a lot smarter than all of them put together anyway, so it was easier to do anything without them if they weren’t planning on getting captured by pirates. Waddaya say we steal his fancy Captain coat? Should fit me better anyway. I’d be a much better captain, he said, standing at an authoritative pose with his hands at his waist while floating in mid-air. You’d be my best mate, of course! Only ‘till we fly their ship into Mermaid Cove or somethin’. I’m sure they’ll have a lot of fun with the pirates. Mermaids in Neverland were vicious and mean and wouldn’t think twice about drowning anyone. Obviously, they were loyal to Peter, so they’d help out.
The boy flew toward the ship, laughing and pushing tree branches aside as he proceeded. It wasn’t long before he stopped behind a cloud, Captain Hook’s ship in view. Peeking his young and eager eyes out from behind the white fluff, he whispered to his best friend. Looks like they’re all below the deck. Think we should surprise ‘em?

It was exhilarating, flying around, just her and him, her and Peter. That was all she wanted to do for the rest of her days. To be in Neverland forever, her and Peter and the Lost Boys... it was perfect. A perfect way to spend eternity... to spend forever.
Forever was a very long time. But she was definitely willing to spend it with Peter, no matter how long it was. She'd be happy, always, as long as she was with him.
But something worried her. It had worried her ever since Wendy had come to Neverland. She was a fairy... without her, Peter couldn't fly. So she was special, and far superior to Wendy. But if that was true, why did he care for Wendy so much? It had made Tink so jealous, and even now she still felt the pangs of lonely jealousy from time to time. What if being a fairy wasn't good enough? What if Peter would only really care about her if she was a human? But what would he do without her pixie dust? It was because of her that he and the Lost Boys could fly, it was because of her... but why were human girls so fascinating to him? What would he think if she was a human? Would he still prefer Wendy?
These thoughts bothered her only for a moment, because then Peter was talking to her. Though that moment had felt like an eternity, it was over now. The smile would not leave her face now- they were together, flying through the skies. All was exactly as it should be. First mate? She would be so proud to be his first mate. She knew she had nothing to worry about... as he threw out suggestions she smiled and nodded happily, keeping up with him as they flew toward the ship. She swooped through the clouds, and for a moment, her worries were lost. For a moment, it was her and Peter again, just like the old days, going to fight and surprise the pirates... if only this would last. It could, couldn't it? She wanted it to. She wanted it to last more than a long time- she wanted it to last a very long time. She wanted to be with him forever.
